HIGHLIGHTS.
BEL paid an interim dividend of 100% for the year 2011-12 to its share holders.The largest shareholder is government of India which holds 75.86% and the general public holds only 1.87%..
Turnover from indigenously developed products is 81%.
Supplies to the defence contributed 73% of turnover as against 80% in 2010-11.
User trials of weapon Locating Radar(WLR) were successfully completed .
6 lakhs of Tablet PC were developed and supplied in record time to the ministry of rural Development.
The Turnover for the year 2011-12 is Rs.5710 crores as against Rs.5530 crores last year.
Profit Before tax showed a decline from Rs.1161 crores last year to Rs.975 crores during this year.
Exports also showed a decline from Rs.49.5 crores to Rs.38.45 crores.
Order Book value shows an increase from Rs.23,600 crores last year to Rs.25,748 crores.
