The Sustainable Development Report 2021 was released
by the Governor of Karnataka Mr.Thawar Chand Gehlot
on the occasion of the Bengaluru Sustainability Conclave
hosted by O.P. Jindal Global University. The theme of the
event was" Implementing the sustainable Development
Goals : Role of Universities & Civil society in Protecting
the Environment".
On this occasion, Professor Dr.M.V.Rajeev Gowda,former
Member of Parliament,Rajya Sabha & Former Professor
IIM,Bangalore,Mr.K.Jairaj,IAS,FormerAddl Chief Secretary,
Govt.of Karnataka,Mr.Sudhir Mishra,Founder &

Dr.C.Rajkumar,Founder & Vice Chancellor,O.P.
Jindal Global University,& Professor,R.Sudarshan,
Dean,Jindal School of Government & Public Policy
O.P.Jindal Global University participated in the
conclave.Mr.K. Jairaj,while addressing suggested
for issuing Green Bonds,like debentures to achieve
the environmental goals as part of CSR which is
popular in abroad.Dr.C.Rajkumar said,' the report
aims to create a green& socially conscious campus
Further,he said they have recently opened a new
Chapter of the International Green Building
Complex under the aegis of CII.
O.P.Jindal Global University has created a
sustainable model with solar power generation
by contributing surplus power to the grid.
