Inaugurating UNNATI

During the 54th session of Scientific & Technical Sub committee of COPUOS
at Vienna in February,2017,UNOOSA requested member countries to propose
new initiatives for the benefit of its member countries.In June,2018,the 
International community gathered in Vienna,where India announced a 
capacity building programme UNNATI,on nano satellites development through
a combination of theoretical course work & hands on training on Assembly,
integration and Testing (AIT).

UNNATI was inaugurated yesterday at Satish Dhawan Auditorium,URSC by
Dr.Jitendra Singh,Union Minister of state for Space,in the presence of
Dr.K.Sivan,ISRO,Chairman. While inaugurating,Dr.Jitendra Singh said,
" Neil Armstrong landed on the moon in 1969,but he couldn't see water.It 
was our Chandrayaan-1 which confirmed there was water.He said,space
technology in India has virtually entered into every Indian Household".

30 participants from 17 countries are participating in UNNATI programme.
Dr.K.Sivan,Chairman,ISRO said," Space can bind humanity & UNNATI 
is one way of doing it".
