INDIAN BANKS TO WORK 5 DAYS A WEEK ?.

                The long standing demand of the bank unions for 5 days a week
                functioning has come for discussions in the banking circles.The
               Indian Banks' Association is working out the pros and cons of 
               such a move.

              When the banks have adopted technology in a big way like ATM,
              internet banking & mobile banking,banks functioning for 5 days
              will not affect customer service.The bank employees are already 
              overloaded with work  due to extended counter hours and this
              move may increase productivity.Further, it may even reduce
              cash transactions as people may start using ATM's more.
