INDIA DESERVES TO BE IN UN SECURITY COUNCIL WITH VETO POWERS LIKE OTHER 5 COUNTRIES.

There are only 5 Permanent members (P5)  in the UN Security Council . They are China,France,Russia ,United Kingdom and United States of America (USA). These P5 Countries have VETO powers to VETO any Resolution.  Why India with the population of 1.40 Billion is still not a Permanent member of UN Security Council with VETO Powers is the point for discussion. India is emerging as one of the big economies in the world. As per the figures sourced from IMF, UK's Nominal GDP is $ 4.26 Trillion followed by India's nominal GDP $ 4.15 Trillion & France : $3.60 Trillion.

Hence, there is a strong case for India becoming a Permanent Member of the Security Council with Veto Powers . Europe with a population of 741 Million people have Two countries viz.UK & France as permanent members in the Security Council,whereas  Asia , the biggest continent with 4.8 billion people has only ONE Representative Viz.China as a permanent member in the UN  Security Council.
