VIJAYA BANK,celebrated its 81st Foundation day in New Delhi by opening 40 branches and 80 ATM's throughout the country taking the total number of branches to 1240 and ATM's to 643. On this special occassion,the bank has also opened 4 specialised Urban Micro Finance branches adopted 8 villages for providing the necessary basic amenities,opened 8 rural health care centres,8 rural bus shelters,adopted 8 girl children and opened computer centres for the underprivileged.

The inauguration was done by Mr.Pranab Mukherjee,Union Finance Minister and attended by Mr.Namo Narain Meena,Union Minister of State for Finance,Mr.Rakhesh Singh,Additional secretary(Financial services),Mr.H.S.Upendra Kamath,CMD of the bank and Smt.Subhalakshmi A Panse,Executive Director of the bank.

Addressing the gathering,Mr.Pranab Mukherjee said," Vijaya bank is one of the most progressive,technologically advanced and customer responsive banks that has set new standards in virtually every facet of banking. I am sure the bank will achieve many milestones in the times to come".
