FIRST AOC India National Electronic Warfare Workshop( EWWI-2010) is being held in Bangalore on 24th &25th December,2010.
The ASSOCIATION OF OLD CROWS (AOC) is a non profit International Professional association supporting the community of individuals and organisations that promote Electronic Warfare,Tactical information,operations and related topics.The Association's head quarters is located in VIRGINIA,USA.
The name "Old Crows" emerged from the first use of electronic warfare in World war II to disrupt enemy communications and radars.Allied Electronic Counter Measure (ECM) operators to disrupt these were given the code name" Raven".Later, the common jargon changed the name to 'Crows' and those engaged in the profession became known as ' Old Crows',being members of AOC.
Dr.Prahlada, Chief Controller of Research & Development,Defence Research & Development Organisation(DRDO),inaugurated the workshop with the participation of invitees & Delegates from DRDO Laboratories. This workshop will enable close interaction amongst the EW professionals and explore the technologies which our armed forces should adopt to counter current &futuristic battle scenario.
