FOOD INFLATION

FOOD INFLATION REACHES 19.95%

Food Inflation reaches decade's high of 19.95%. This has caused
concern to Reserve Bank of India and they may raise borrowing costs to curb inflation.

The Standing Parliamentary Committee on Finance has mentioned
that " surge in sugar prices has been fuelled by speculation and Profiteering by the sugar lobby".
