Hong Kong based Shangrila Hotels  currently owns/or manages 90  hotels under 
the Shangri-La brand with a room inventory of over 3800 rooms.The Bengaluru
Hotel has 397 rooms.

The chain has expansion plans in Bengaluru and is planning to open a hotel 
Shangri-La Palm Retreat in Bengaluru near Marathahalli shortly.The Hotel is
owned & eveloped by Realty developers  Adarsh Group.
Mr.Jens Corder,General Manager of the Hotel said,"we are keen to tap tourism
market,apart from  business,corporate & MICE clientele.

                            100 PERCENT FDI IN PRIVATE BANKS ?.

                Presently there is FDI cap of 74% in Private Banks. There is a
                proposal to increase it to 100%.The balance of 26% may be through
