IS CRICKET A SPORT?
The latest happenings in cricket has created serious doubt among the followers
of the game -whether cricket is really a sport?.
BCCI, controlling body of the game of Cricket in India is the richest sports Body in
the world. But they donot come under RTI (Right To Information Act) and donot wish
to adopt the National Sports Code. Every sportsperson in the world come under
WADA (World Anti Doping Agency) and its whereabouts clause, but the cricketers
in our country donot wish to come under WADA. Is it good for the growth of the
game?.The present day cricketers are more commercial and some are even more greedy.
As a true lover of the game,I wish, the present day cricketers play the game for the
passion than for the money.Though IPL is a good brand in terms of the money it
generates for BCCI,little thought should be given for the damage it has created for
the game of cricket.

SWISS BANKERS DROP OPPOSITION TO INFORMATION EXCHANGE.
The Swiss bankers Association has dropped outright rejection of the exchange of
bank client data with foreign tax authorities, its head was quoted saying on Monday.
Swiss bank secrecy has come under heavy fire from the United States,France and
Germany since the financial crisis.Switzerland agreed in 2009 to share more information with foreign authorities on request, but it has consistently rejected an automatic exchange of data.
The Group of 20 advanced and emerging economies endorsed automatic exchange
of tax data among nations last month, calling it the expected new standard how
governments can help each other fight cross border tax cheating.

LACK OF MORALITY IN POLITICS.
The Indian politics today has come to such low level,I am afraid where we will go
from here.Supreme Court wanted CBI,the premier investigating agency of the
country to send their report to them on the alleged Coal Scam .That means the CBI
should make independent inquiry and send their report to Supreme Court in a sealed cover.
Instead, they were summoned by the Law Minister in the pretext of correcting the
grammar made significant changes to the report.Apart from the Country's Law
minister, the officials of Coal ministry & PMO were also there. Is it proper? Does this act does not amount to contempt of Court?.
The Attorney General and the Additional Solicitor General earlier told the court that they have not seen or shared the status report with any political executive. Later it
was known to be otherwise. The question arises why they, being top law officers in the country act like this ?.
The Law Minister should not wait till the supreme Court passes strictures against
CBI for showing the report and allowing changes to be made. The Law Minister
should also not take shelter saying the top court pulled up only CBI and not him..
He is holding a high Law office in the country and should be a role model for future generation to follow.
