Mr.K.H.Muniyappa,MOS for Railways inaugurated the Food plaza at the Bangalore Cantonment station. The licensee is M/s Hallimane, one of the reputed eating joints in the city. The food plaza has also a bakery meeting quality standards. The food plaza has the latest available kitchen equipments to maintain the highest quality of food standards and also by using the purified water for cooking. This food plaza is the 22nd of its kind in the south zone to be commissioned by IRCTC in the railway station.

Further,Mr.Muniyappa announced the introduction of two trains to Mysore from july 1st this year Viz.yeshwantpur-Mysore express and Raja Rani express from Bangalore City station daily.

The Bangalore cantonment station platforms (1&2) should be raised as many handicapped and senior citizens find it difficult to get in and also get down in these platforms. We hope & wish the railway authorities do the needful immediately.
